Welcome to Miss Solon's First Grade Class! In our class we strive to be leaders everyday. Our school is 53% percent free and reduced lunch and extremely transit with about 1/5 of school moving in and out by the end of 1st quarter. We also provide free breakfast to our students and snacks before and after school for clubs. Even though we have our challenges, academically our students soar. In first grade our big goals are to be fluent readers, have our own voice as writers, be great mathematicians and see science in the world around us. Our curriculum is tough in first grade, but we can do hard things. My goal is to start a strong foundation and a love of learning that can last a lifetime.
