Our high school is very diverse. It is a comprehensive school with over 2900 students who come from all different ethnic backgrounds, religions, socioeconomic backgrounds, etc. The school prepares students for a variety of post-high school opportunities including four year colleges, two year colleges, and vocational career options. I work with tenth grade students in World History and they have a range of exposure to technology. All of the students would benefit from learning skills that will help them as they move into a more technology rich academic and professional world. In the past, students have created poster board projects that can be visual appealing but lack the depth of resources that students can access through a multimedia presentation. The students are excited about the content and providing them with an avenue to present what they are learning in a method that will make the topics come alive will be an invaluable experience.
