Hi! My name is Mariel Sirota or Ms. Mariel to my students. I have been a teacher for over seven years and am currently working in New York City. My education in teaching began at Towson University, where I received a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. I continued my journey to receive a Masters degree in STEM Education at Hunter College. My goal is to continue to create a classroom environment that is safe, inviting, and conducive to exploring. I work hard to make sure that my students feel comfortable, valued, and unafraid to take risks. As a teacher in the 21st century, I hope to expose my elementary students to a variety of technology and STEM opportunities, which will ultimately foster a love for creating, problem-solving, collaborating, and designing.
