I am a general education teacher at a Title I elementary school in Hilo, HI. I teach second grade in an inclusion classroom with a special education teacher and educational assistant. Our student population includes students living in low-income housing and homeless shelters. As an inclusive classroom, we acknowledge and understand that all students learn differently and at their own pace. Our goal is to provide a safe space for students to express themselves and explore the world around them.
