Only a few years ago, my pilot school, located in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston, was a failing school. Students were far below grade level in math and reading and their desire to share their knowledge was jaded. After being deemed a level 4 turn around school, the changes and improvements over the past four years have been amazing. The excitement for learning, sharing thinking, proving understanding, and demonstrating excellence in academics is evident throughout the school. I want to continue to foster this love of learning and excitement for showing and sharing individual work in the younger grades of the school, starting with my 2nd grade classroom!

About my class
