I am so excited that I am now working as a music teacher! Those of you who know me personally, know that this is my true passion--to bring the years of training and professional experience in the arts of music and theater to our young learners! I am so grateful that Maryland is prioritizing the arts now. So many studies show that fine arts instruction and arts integration increase all aspects of learning and childhood development, and MSDE is taking that very seriously. Now, we Teaching Artists can bring our passion to our students, encouraging them to see and hear more clearly--which will expand their minds and hearts. At our school...we are literally starting with nothing. Nada. We have no instruments, no piano to lead singing, no music books, no music cd's, no teaching manual...and no classroom. I cannot thank you enough for helping us purchase instruments and technology for our new music-making adventures!
