My preschool to 5th grade students have challenges with speaking and express their thoughts, as well as with using language in social situations. Some of my students and their families are also learning English as a second language. As a speech-language pathologist, my goal is to help all my students learn how to communicate effectively with their peers and teachers despite these challenges. My school is supportive of my students, but it is unable to provide adequate special education resources for my caseload.
