I am a first year ESE (Special Education) middle school teacher. I have students of all grades: 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. My students are placed in my class for one of their electives and spend time in here working on their homework and asking me questions. I support them through classroom accommodations and testing accommodations. We work together to create the best support for each individual student and communicate to see what can be done to best support their educational journey. Almost all of my students struggle with a learning disability. This makes their educational life just a little harder to navigate. Others struggle with a language impairment or other health impairment. I try to support them the best I can so they do not feel like they are behind. Every day has it's struggles, but seeing them learn and knowing that they are getting any extra support that they need during the school day makes it worth it.
