My students are urban high school special education and general education students in a BHSEC high school early college. They are willing learners but need a lot of support in this rigorous academic climate. They are challenged every day but don't give up. Our school is clean, safe, and growing. My students work well together, but our class resources are limited. We have smart boards but little else to make the experience interactive. Dynamic differentiation in literacy is needed to draw my students into their roles as active and autonomous learners. Over the years I have pooled my resources with district resources. But for the last 4 years little funding has been available to update materials, fix broken devices, or even replace worn out books. Anyone interested in helping to create a content rich, productive, and engaging classroom environment for students: My students urgently need your help!
