Teaching emergent learners can be a challenge when there is a language barrier. I try my best to provide as much visual support for my students to aide their learning in the English language easier. I can relate to my emergent learners as I was once an emergent learner myself. Not knowing what the teacher or other students are saying can be very challenging and frustrating. Since I teach students from a lot of different backgrounds, I feel lucky to get to know all these different cultures and how unique each child is. I constantly learn from my students. Learning is a two way street and it should always be like that.
