My students are enthusiastic, persevering, and curious children that have a deep wonder for how music, lyrics, and above all "beats" are made. They love to tap on anything-desks, walls, tables, floors, to make rhythms, sing lyrics, and do anything to be musical. Being the music teacher, I strive to bring the necessary tools and resources to my student's lives in order for them to make use of their abundant musical energy and talents. However, my school is 100% low income, and has not had music class for almost a decade. This year is unique with the addition of music class, and the students could not be more excited! However, the amount of instruments currently available is not nearly enough to provide for the amount of students enrolled in music class-which is about 550! My students are determined to learn how to play instruments even through trials and struggles!
