After almost two years of being virtual and doing at-home learning, many students have not been in the habit of being in a classroom with other students and teachers. With this project, I will be using the snacks as a way to keep students focused when they are hungry, as well as use them as incentives to reinforce positive behaviors. The goal is to highlight positive behaviors so that the students get back in the habit of learning in a classroom. Rather than using consequences and punishments, the goal for this project is to bring attention to the good things that are going on in the classroom. This will be our way of continuing to make students feel supported as they get back into a habit of learning in-person.
