My students come from diverse backgrounds. My school is a Dual Immersion School. The children are learning Spanish. The school model is 90/10 meaning that instruction is in Spanish for 90% of the day and 10% in English. As the students move through the grade levels the Spanish instruction goes down by 10% and English instruction goes up by 10% Until it reaches 5th grade where instruction is 50% English and 50% Spanish. Some students are maintaining their Spanish language and some are learning it as a second or third language.
