Every day, my students enter the classroom bursting with excitement to start their day and learn new things. They are very inquisitive and enjoy creating new ways to use every-day objects from learning centers. When I ask "Are you ready?" they respond excitedly, "Yes we are!" In our Title I school, my class is comprised of various different backgrounds, and all students receive free breakfast and lunch within the school. Our school is quite diverse, and we have families who speak English, Spanish, French, Bambara, Soninke, Fulani, Albanian, and Bengali. Our students are very diverse ethnically, linguistically, and economically, and are always ready to assist each other and build on their understandings, as well as learn through hands-on discovery and art.
