After teaching for a year, I have learned so many things about how I want my classroom to look, feel, and function. Unfortunately, the school I have come to call my home will be re-purposed after this year and I will be transitioning to my new school after this school year ends. I am excited for this opportunity to get settled in a new place and start my next adventure at my newfound home! One of the things I found this year with teaching is how restricting not having an interactive whiteboard can be in my teaching. Having to go back and forth between my computer at the front of the room takes so much time away from our learning! In my student teaching experience, having an interactive white board allowed us to save all the work students had done on the whiteboard to refer back to later instead of having to erase all their wonderful learning! We already have the incredible opportunity of having 1:1 chromebook use in our classrooms, it only makes sense that they have that same access to technology in their whole group lessons. Having a Mimioteach in our classroom will transform our learning and allow us to further explore where our critical thinking takes us!
