We have started doing yoga once a week. My students love the routine and would love yoga mats to go with our yoga practice. I can not wait to use these in our classroom! I am requesting yoga mats as well as storage containers for the yoga mats. I chose those specific crates because they are sturdy and go with our classroom and school theme of redwood rainbows! Both the yoga mats and crates will have a prominent home in our classroom. I am trying to build a group of strong, mindful kindergartners! Yoga will continue the mindfulness work we are already doing in my classroom. Doing yoga will help my students focus and learn to work through any challenges they may face in school or in life. The deep breathing in yoga will also help calm their minds and bodies so they are able to make the best choices throughout the day.
