Bright, brilliant, & eager to learn! I am a sixth year teacher, however it's my first year in fifth grade. My students are amazing! They love to learn about every subject however they are most interested in Social Studies & Science. As of right now we have no Social studies curriculum & very little Science materials. We have no workbooks for either subject which makes it even harder. I also thought it would be nice to have a valuable interactive resource to help raise test scores for CMT's. Only 7 out of 20 students are proficient or above proficient on the CMT's and 5th grade is the only grade tested for Science & as of right now I have next to nothing to work with. We have few computers in the school & most don't work or are unable to get to educational sites for science or social studies. Having a computer that works would help dramatically in a class striving to learn & who is trying to keep up with technology.
