These materials make a difference in my students' learning as creating mosaics requires a lot of planning, problem solving, & creativity. It is very hands on, which students absolutely love! Students will explore & research the mosaic art form, along with mosaic artists to find inspiration for their own creation. This project may inspire them to focus on creating mosaics for their concentration of art pieces required during their second year of our class. They will eventually submit a portfolio of art for review in order to earn college credit. It is very important to provide exposure to many different art forms, especially new art forms, during their first year of our class.
