Help my students have the option of flexible seating during small group lessons! Currently, my classroom only has one flexible seating option, which is often fought over by students. Being a special education resource classroom, it is important that my students have options and tools that will aide in their learning. Many of the students who come to the resource room have ADD/ADHD or a behavior disorder and struggle to stay in their seat or move around constantly. When they do this in a typical classroom chair, they often bang the table, knock over the chair, or hit the person next to them. Many even ditch the chair altogether and end up standing. By having wobble stools in my classroom, I will be able to give my students a discrete way to move around during their small group lessons. This will allow students to focus better, complete more work, and will eliminate distractions in the classroom.
