My students are eager to learn 6 year olds, who come from a high poverty neighborhood. We live in Hawaii and are always eager to learn about other cultures and environments. Many of them have never left the island and have a hard time conceptualizing "the mainland". By incorporating 21st century learning practices, we use our classroom as a place to explore the world and all it's treasures! Any day of the week you can find my first graders working to solve real world problems, by utilizing technology, innovative thinking and collaboration.
