My name is Ms. Neilsen. I am originally from Massachusetts, and a proud graduate of Boston College with a Master's in Education. I am a strong proponent of social justice, and came to Charlotte to put my teaching skills to work! Once in a while, we need support from the community, especially with with our community garden that supports our community food bank. This year we started a club, The Lorax Club who works to keep our campus greener and cleaner. There is no funding for this club, so I scraped together a few donations to get us started. After seeing our success, I want this program to expand next year to have a thriving garden and students who benefit from working in it!
