The students in my class all have learning disabilities which means they learn in a different way. Using math manipulatives helps them learn abstract concepts by having concrete objects to use in their learning. I chose magnetic math manipulatives because they are colorful and easy for the students to manipulate. I believe the magnetic boards and manipulatives will help the students be excited about learning. I would use the larger magnetic board for demonstrations and to have the students participate in demonstrating their knowledge to their peers. I also chose to have the individual magnetic boards for the students to have an opportunity to practice what they have learned and demonstrate their knowledge.
