I am very excited to teach American Government and Law and my students have demonstrated a great interest. I need the right tools to build a strong foundation and inspire my students to reach their heights. The Street Law textbooks are an exceptional resource to build the needed skills for my students to tackle the We the People, and Mock Trial competitions. At my school, 60%-80% of the students are from low-income household. These resources will be transformational, providing a visual depiction of the end goal. Visuals and resources are very important to middle school students of this generation. They will be able to practice and re-enact various trials, and practice their oral arguments in which they debate various Supreme Court Decisions. In the processes, my students will build confidence, public speaking, and critical thinking skills. This is the inaugural year for our Middle School and this donation will be remembered and recorded in our memory book. It could also spark a new club, the Law Club. My school and this community needs your help.
