The students in my class all live in the vicinity around the school in the South Bronx. They come from a variety of different cultural backgrounds. I have students who ask each day if there will be school tomorrow. That moment of glee when I say yes- is what makes my job worth it. There is a great feeling of community in our school. I feel that my school does a great job keeping the parents connected and involved.
