The students that I service are very limited to exposure of all the things to experience in the world. Many come from other countries and their parents are struggling to make ends meet here in America. The donations for this project will make my after school club a success. I have decided to dedicate my time after school to conduct a "broadway" play of Annie. The students are very interested in learning their scripts and dance moves to go with their songs. This project will not only make the students feel good about themselves. It will help them to see that anything is possible and regardless of their families status, they are given an opportunity to express themselves creatively all within the classroom. I am so anxious to put a smile on faces that haven't had a reason to smile in a while and I hope you are too! Help me make a difference in the urban school system by allowing ALL children to have an opportunity to grow. My school currently have 2 wired microphones and 1 wireless microphone. The 4 headsets will be greatly appreciated to make our first musical just like the one on broadway. Annie wig and dress will bring out our theme remarkably because finding the resources and that look will be scarce in our community. Any help we can get is greatly appreciated.
