My students are Kindergarten through fifth grade. There are approximately 550 students in our school. They are energetic, enthusiastic and very artistic. Our school is comprised of a safe, healthy environment. It prides itself on getting kids involved during and after school. During school students are engaged in music, physical education and art, as well as the core subjects. My goal is to engage my students in art activities that are standard based, culturally appropriate and fun. The problem is that our school has no budget for art and we don't have the basic supplies, such as white construction paper and good pencils. I think my students would soar if they were provided with these items.
