By giving students the power of choice, we provide them with the opportunity to learn in an environment that is comfortable and fun. In doing this, we promote an educational experience full of community, collaboration, and comfort. Flexible seating gives students the opportunity to become more self-aware about how they learn best. It will also teach students how to share our space and supplies throughout the classroom. Students will not be confined to a set chair or table and will be able to move around freely throughout the day which also promotes physical activity. Students will burn excess energy and stay more alert throughout the day. The balance ball chairs and cushions allow students to lean and bounce safely while remaining productive and on-task. The stools will serve as a seating option for our small group table. Above all, the goal is to empower students and give them the best learning environment. I am beyond excited for the flexible seating to flip our classroom!
