Where do you do your best work? Is it always sitting in an uncomfortable chair and working at a desk? I know personally that I need to have options and the ability to move, in order to maintain interest and be at my best. The students in my classroom should have the same options. If our focus is to keep students motivated and working at a high level of engagement, then we must give them an environment to be successful. How can we expect a young student to understand the importance of learning, if we do not create an atmosphere that promotes their individual learning styles. I hope to use the alternative seating options to give my students an opportunity to learn in a way that supports them. Over the past year, I have started to build a flexible learning atmosphere in my classroom, but need help in funding for alternative seating. I chose the Balance Ball Chair because it has the ability to improve balance, promote better posture, and most importantly keeps the mind focused. The Wobble Stool provides students that need to fidget in order to stay on task, the opportunity to move as they work. I hope to be able to enhance my kindergartners' learning experience by providing an environment of choice and understanding. Thank you for helping me in my quest to achieve this goal!
