Since this is an ever connected world, exposing students at a young age to the world of research, sharing ideas, revising editing, peer editing, etc will help them stay current, so they can be more college and career ready. I believe this exposure can greatly help them ease into the real world where so much is done behind a computer screen. I've taken a lot of online courses where you had to interact with a facilitator remotely so I believe this is a great chance for them to do that. I would also like to use to laptops to be able to teach the children about what is going on in other parts of the world for community outreach purposes and for the purpose of inspiring community.
