100% of the students in my Third Grade classroom receive free lunch or come from a broken home. These young students have seen drugs, alcohol, domestic abuse, are living in poverty and have never had the opportunity to interact with or experience the written word and the power that it can provide to individuals. Our school is in Florida and the staff here are working hard to ensure that not only my students, but the other students receive this opportunity however, much of the equipment that is available for teachers to use is outdated or not in excess supply to meet the needs of every student in everyclassroom.

About my class
