With a new carpet, my students will be able to learn in a nurturing environment conducive to their development. A carpet will help the classroom feel more welcoming for my kindergarteners. My students spend much of their time on the floor, sprawled out on the tiles while reading, working together, and playing. A carpet will not only allow them to work more comfortably, but it will also help put them at ease when sharing ideas during instructional time. A new carpet will motivate and excite my students to learn. The carpet can also serve as a flexible seating option for students who prefer not to, or cannot, sit at their desks. With a new carpet, these kindergarteners will have the option to work independently in an area that is more suited to their learning needs. This carpet will immediately change the environment of my classroom for the better in so many ways. It will make the classroom more appealing for my kindergarteners as soon as they enter the room. It will provide comfort for those who need it and will help my students learn with more ease. The addition of a brand new carpet will enhance student motivation, engagement, participation, and learning!
