My class consists of 22 creative and curious second graders. 12 of the students are english language learners and 4 of them are special needs students. I love what I do and try to create a classroom environment that feels safe and is visually inviting. I try to keep things interesting by including variety and by choosing activities that keep students engaged. I integrate music, art and movement in addition to placing attention on developing the core curriculum in a way that reaches all students and their individual learning styles. We celebrate individuality and students are encouraged to "think outside of the box."
