Glance back to your days in the classroom. Remember when your teacher would tell you to take out a book to read at your desk? Were you uncomfortable? Were you distracted? These flexible seats will make a difference in students learning by allowing them to become more relaxed and enjoy what they are reading and learning. I want my students to enjoy reading more, so allowing them to get comfy with these flexible seating option will promote that.
Reading will open up a student to endless possibilities. They will be able to grow as a learner and soar high. My students with these flexible seating options will be able to find a space in the room, where they can block out what's in their minds or around them, and enjoy the moment of their book.
Students love to lay on the floor or sit in different areas of the room. By having these pillows, chairs, and bean bag, more students will have more options in where and how they would like to sit. Engaging the students in learning, especially reading, is a key component. The more they read, the more they will achieve in other areas of learning as well.
