Our district is committed to providing effective distance learning in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Our students will be taught remotely by their teachers and will be using iPad technology and educational apps that allow them to work at their appropriate instructional level. In order to maximize their technology enriched distance learning, my students need additional resources to use while they are learning from home.
White boards are a great way of actively involving all students in the learning process and an effective tool of immediate feedback and assessment. White boards allow the students to actively participate in the lessons and demonstrate their learning. Students will use white board and dry erase markers daily to demonstrate understating and practice their skills. The immediate feedback allows the teacher to evaluate student understanding and adjust the lesson as needed. The teacher will use a larger white board to demonstrate lessons and support students' learning. Each student will also need appropriate math manipulatives to learn and practice new concepts, so a set of 50 counters per student will give them that opportunity. Finally, Students need a story tote bag to keep all their learning tools organized and readily accessible during lessons and assignment completion.
