My class is made up of emergent learners, many of whom are experiencing school for the first time. Covering a wide range of the autism spectrum, my students vary greatly on their levels of academic and social abilities. Most of them have poor fine motor skills, which creates a huge challenge in their literacy learning. Each of my students also require one to one attention when completing classwork. New resources are very helpful in getting my students to work more independently and progress at a more consistent rate.
