I teach a Great Start Readiness Pre-K class in a middle income area. My program is a free preschool program for families that qualify based on their income. The children in my class are at risk and many of them are living in poverty. The basis of my program is to prepare children for kindergarten who's parents cant afford tuition-based preschool. For many of them, the technology that they are exposed to in the classroom is the only technology exposure they receive. They don't have computers or iPads in their home so they aren't familiar with how to use them.
