My students at Thorndyke Elementary come from all over the World. I have worked at Thorndyke for 19 years and I have been lucky to experience over 50 different home languages! Many of my students families often risk their lives in order to secure a future for their children. My school is a Title 1 school with a typical free and reduced lunch percentage between 85-90%. A number of our students are also unhoused. Knowing the above, please also know that my kids are resilient, kind and eager to learn. I believe that all students want to do well and succeed both academically, emotionally and socially. Sometimes they just haven’t acquired the skills to do so. I consider it my passion to assist families in making their dreams for their children come true and for my students to leave Thorndyke confident, secure, self-aware and ready to take on the World!

About my class
