Every student in my classroom is unique in their own way. In our school, there are seventeen different languages spoken but when they walk into our classroom they love to speak English. Sometimes students are hesitant to share or speak in their classrooms because they are embarrassed they will make a mistake with speaking English. They don't feel that way in the EL classroom because they know their peers won't judge. Students aren't afraid to contribute in a discussion or shy to present their work in front of their peers. Here they show their best work! In EL, we are here to support the many kids that come from different countries and teach them everything they need to know to feel comfortable in their regular classroom. My students and I are proud to learn new things with each other. I try and give my students many opportunities to relate, share and present their cultural background to the class.
