I teach 8th grade science at a middle school in Goose Creek, SC. Many times before my students walk in the door they ask, "Are we doing something fun today?" They will work diligently on projects that are meaningful to them, and I've often heard, "How do we only have 5 minutes left in this class?! I feel like we just got in here!" I make every effort to ensure our work is relevant and engaging so that our time together in class is never wasted.
