Once the kids landed back into our classrooms, our goal was to get a real book into their hands! We are dedicated to this practice. With that, we realize that maybe only 10% of our high interest libraries reflect back who these children are and the lives they lead. These children deserve to be seeing themselves in the pages of books, too! Many of our readers need more support to access grade level texts. Books that are written in verse are more accessible for these students. After they're able to finish one of these books, their confidence skyrockets!

About my class
