My school is Title I, with more than 60% of the students receiving free lunch. This year I have 26 students, 16 boys and 10 girls. Many of my students are learning English as their second language, so our classroom, and the entire school, is rich with culture and diversity. Like any large group of 5 and 6 year old children, you can imagine the students are active, energetic, and excited about everything! Every day, they come to school eager to discover what we will be learning and doing. Kindergarten is such a wonderful grade because students aren't quite self conscious yet, so we get to have a lot of fun singing, dancing, and being silly!
