First grade is a formidable experience for most children. In my class it's particularly challenging to reach many of my students because of different learning needs and obstacles. Technology is a powerful hook for many children because it is visual and demands tactile skills. I'm requesting an Apple MacBook Pro laptop computer which will be used throughout my classroom for different learning activities. We'll use the MacBook to go to Google Earth and explore the highest mountains and then fly down to the islands where many of children come from. We'll also use the computer to access online educational apps for reading, history, science, and learning games. Not having a computer that is compatible with today's software is proving difficult. This MacBook will make such a difference to my students and to our classroom family. Thank you for your support!
