Hi, I'm Ms. Hynes! :) I teach at Atherton Elementary School in Burton, MI. I grew up going to Atherton Community Schools my entire 13 years of schooling and I am so blessed to be able to give back to the community that raised me. I have SPECTACULAR students who come in with a smile on their face, regardless of the struggles they're facing at home. I feel blessed to be able to touch their lives and make a difference. We are a title 1 high poverty area. My students will need a "home away from home" and that is exactly what I strive for my classroom to be. I love offering choices for my students. Choices, big and small, offer them to take responsibility and initiative in their learning. Many of my donors choose projects will reflect that. I want my students to KNOW that they can be successful, DRIVE themselves to be successful and HELP others to be successful!
