I want the students to feel comfortable when they're sitting on the floor for a lesson. When they return to class after lunch and recess, they'll need a large place to sit down while listening to the stories or a mini-lesson. I plan on dimming the harsh fluorescent lights. The rug and lamp will make the classroom more inviting and like a home. We will need lemon wipes to clean off the tables after we practice our spelling words, writing paragraphs, and skip counting. We will use our pencils in our interactive notebooks. These supplies will contribute to a productive school year.
