Hello! I teach English and am the AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) Coordinator/teacher at Mount Pleasant High School. The AVID team at Mount provides our students with guidance and support as they do the hard work of preparing to pursue a college education after high school. Our students take honors and AP courses so they experience the necessary academic rigor to be ready for the academic challenges of college. They also learn time management and other 21st Century skills necessary for success in school and at work. We have an open enrollment policy for our AP courses. I encourage all students who are going to college to take AP Language to experience a college level course. Your support will be greatly appreciated by all of us!
