As a teacher, I believe you must never stop being a student at heart. You have to constantly be seeking out how to grow and change in order to keep up with everything evolving around you, and that's including your students. Fifth graders are at an age where they're blossoming into their own independence. It's a time where they are transitioning from being just a simple kid to a 'tween' (as people call them). Developing minds, changing attitudes. Confusing at times? Sure, but that's the beauty of it! This time is such a pivotal point in their life, and it's my job to guide them, teach them, love them, and most importantly...inspire them to be lifelong learners. "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." -Nelson Mandela
