Throughout their lessons in the 2017-2018 school year, ALA Gilbert North's elementary students have shown a vested interest in broader forms of art- past the standard guided drawing and painting lessons many were used to. They have shown they have a critical and the ability to analyze short films and still images. Now let's give these students the ability to capture some images and create some short films of their own. With these digital cameras and their necessary accessories, the upper grade students of ALA GNE will be able to get hands-on in their lessons on digital art, in a way that many of them never have before. Introducing students to a broad range of arts at this early stage in their education can help them to find ways to better express themselves through a medium that they feel they had more choice in, rather than only allowing expression through traditional media. This is an opportunity that I would love to afford my dear students, and one that I will be able to with your help.
