This year, I have 22 Transitional Kindergarten students in my class. My students are four and five years old and many have never previously attended school. 16 students are English Language Learners and speak Spanish at home. The students live in a low socioeconomic community and many students do not have health care. The district is able to provide programs to help support the students, such as free meals in the cafeteria and free before and after-school child care through the YMCA. The students receive free dental, hearing, and eye screenings, but my students still have a lot of unmet needs. Because of this, students love to come to school and learn in a warm, safe, and stable environment. By choosing to fund my class, you would be making a powerful impact on the lives of 22 children who need the support of more resources! My students thank you for providing them with more opportunities!
