The book "Wonder" will address Common Core Standards while keeping students interest-level high. Students are presented with different narrators (excellent for point-of-view), can build background for a narrative writing project, and can access the novel as a reference during a bullying unit. "Wonder" will engage my learners and provide meaningful connections. Students will be introduced to struggles that are different than their own, yet be able to make a connection with their own experiences. They will learn about the value of true friendship, and the meaning of “When given the choice between being right and being kind, choose kind.” -Dr. Wayne Dyer
