My students come from a school in which 97% of its approximate 637 student population is economically needed. Forty-three percent are migrants and 54% are Limited English Speaking students. No matter what they face in their lives, they take pride in each and every piece of work that is put in front of them. Even during free time, you will find my students playing "school" and writing "Homework Tips" on our whiteboard. My students never cease to amaze me when it comes to Reading. Even in Math, my students always find a way to hide themselves reading their books-usually you would think they would want to hide their books. Our class has read over 500,000 words in a short few weeks and that number will only rise with the help of you. My students LOVE books, fiction or non and love to get lost in the stories of Native Americans, outer space and of course the many 'Diary' Book Series.
